Addi McDowell

Addi McDowell is an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University. She is majoring in History and English and minoring in Public History, Gender and Women’s Studies, Leadership and Service, and Classical Studies. She currently works as the Student Assistant for the KSU Museums, Archives, and Rare Books Department.


Addi has been a long-time book and typewriter collector. Her passion for books has been a constant throughout her life, and her dream is to officially establish this museum and organization. As an advocate for education reform, she hopes that the resources this website and future organization can encourage change, inclusivity, and community engagement.

JoyEllen Williams

JoyEllen Williams is the Rare Books Curator at Kennesaw State University. Since Addi began working at MARB in 2022, JoyEllen has acted as a mentor-figure for her.
